The Gipfelstürmer programme is a Swiss grassroots pilot project. Through practical behavioural education, the programme changes the way Mr and Ms Swiss live and work. We focus on specific communities which, as local, visionary systems, initiate a large-scale social transformation. Our goal is to educate residents who, in turn, will act as role models to influence their communities positively. Through the Gipfelstürmer programme, citizen cooperation supports the efforts of the federal government, cantons and municipalities. In this way, sustainable development accelerates and new models of sustainability gradually emerge. The Gipfelstürmer Programme aims to take a new approach to local solutions to global problems and thus make a significant contribution to achieving Agenda 2030.
